The 4th of July Family Celebration & Fireworks in San Gabriel Park was introduced by the Georgetown Sertoma Club in 1983. Immediately the site became the place to be each year for Georgetown families and friends along with many other holiday celebrants from neighboring communities. From its inception, the day-long festivities have attracted more than 10,000 people, especially when the weather cooperates.

FREE SHUTTLE: 9am-11pm. Stadium Parking at GISD (Georgetown Independent School District) behind Richarte School District or Georgetown Annex. Note: Covered area for shade and two port-a-potts available. Please bring water.

Here is what the celebrants come to enjoy:
A Kiddie Parade commencing at 11am with families and youngsters riding bicycles, tricycles, carts, wagons and scooters decorated in patriotic red, white and blue colors.
Visit 30-40 Arts and Crafts booths where a great variety of wares, produced by artisans and proprietors, are available for viewing and purchase.
Specialty foods to satisfy your taste buds at 15 Food Vendor Sites located conveniently in the center of San Gabriel Park.
Kids may enjoy a number of Amusement Rides & Games within the park.
Spread a blanket on the grass and enjoy a variety of Musical Entertainment throughout the afternoon and early evening leading up to the Grand Finale & Fireworks.
